oh well, I can't make the script run in the forums. I saw this awhile back, I even had it on my webpage for a bit. =)

Here is the code that does it:



Set oWMP = CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX.7" )
Set colCDROMs = oWMP.cdromCollection
if colCDROMs.Count >= 1 then
For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count - 1
colCDROMs.Item(i).Eject

you have to have WMP installed on your system for it work. The script is just calling some hooks from WMP to open the cdrom. i'm actuallywondering if you could do some more evil stuff, like play a movie or something. I can't believe you can take this much control over a computer with a simple client side script on a webpage, one more reason not to integrate the browser into the OS. Silly, silly Microsoft.
