Steam error

Well ever since i installed and played FFXI, i get this error when i try to load steam now.

Steam.exe(main execption): win32 structured exception at 0164045B : attempt to write to virtual address 26860936 without appropriate access rights.

i hit ok then i get

The instruction at "0x10003ecd" referenced memory at "0x016571a8". The memory could not be "read."

Then says click ok to terminate the program

Any ideas?

LOL, check out my thread in the Technical and Server heading under DOLT! I've had a similar problem except mine isn't steam it's Counter-Strike. I haven't had a chance to reinstall CS yet but I'm hoping that will work.
