If anyone was playing CS last night, they realize I'm in the market for a new mouse. I've been using my ole logitech 3 button ball mouse for many many many years. It be broke now. I know, temper temper temper. I plan on upgrading to an optical mouse and was wondering what everyone's input was on what to get. Thanks.

I would say either a Logitec or a Microsoft. Never heard anything but good stuff about both of them. I would recommend not getting a cordless optical...

5-button optical mice are nice..

I was running a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer (optical with cord), but replaced it with a Logitech MX700 wireless mouse.

LaTech may be on to something there. My wife inherited my old mouse and now she kicks my butt on this game.. Stay away from Wireless Meeses :)

Andy, "The bad news is that I'm playing keyboard only, BABY!"

My MX700 rocks man, I love that it's wireless and my charge is good for a few days.

I had a old 2 button scroll logitech mouse for about 4 years. I tried a regular 2 button optical mouse from logitech about a year ago and hated it. the optical sensor would make the mouse jump all over the screen when I played CS (I have a tendancy to slightly pickup my mouse alot when I play) and the crosshairs would never stay still.

about 6mths ago or so I got a logitech mx500 optical mouse with 8 buttons. I absolutly love it. it's extreamly smooth and the optical sensor doesn't make the mouse jitter on the screen nor does it jump all over the screen when I pick up the mouse. I would highly suggest getting this mouse. the mx700 is the same mouse but it's cordless.

Yeah - go logitec all the way on mice!!! Like roxet said, get the one w/ the dual optical - that's what I have and I like it much better than my old MS Intellimouse Explorer!

OH, also make sure w/ an optical that you have a good SOLID service to mouse apon, so you will get good tracking :D :D :D

at home i have a 2 button w/scroll Microsoft Blue optical mouse..it works great!

but at work i have a Logitech Mouseman optical dual sensor with a button for thumb....this is crap...it jumps all over the screen at times.

i say go microsoft andy! or at least keep your box and reciept so you can try a couple of them out :)

Logitech, three button, opitcal w/ scroll - I like the mouse but I don't think it's the mouse's fault that I sux! I think that's because I'm a nub - but that's a different subject.

Not that I would do this;). You can go to a microsoft site with a serial for one of their optical mouses. They'll send you a new one, no questions. Find someone with a microsoft optical, and Get their seriel info.

Got a Microsoft optical. It is much easier to keep clean now rather than that old roller ball you cleaned out that one time Andy.

I just got this set, and i'm loving it. The mouse is awesome, and its rechargeable, just pop it on your docking station when your getting low on juice. I was just going to get the mouse, but the kb mouse set wasnt that much more so i grabbed it, it was a late christmas present to myself :)
