Any interest in a small LAN party?

Thinking of hosting a 10-20 person LAN party out of my house (about 45 mins from Baton Rouge or New Orleans). Just had a few questions for you guys that have run one already or may be interested in dropping by...

Here's what I have in mind..

600-700 square foot garage (clean with heat/air, outlets, etc) can use other areas of house also if needed.

folding tables/chairs

BBQ, Fried Turkey, Drinks, etc..

No fee or maybe $5 to help cover some of the food costs (don't really matter to me)...


I turned 4 plugs in my work room into 42 with various power strips/surge protectors and haven't had any problems so figuring I can do the same in garage and I have a couple thousand feet of networking cable, a couple of 10/100 switches, and a few machines I can setup as dedicated servers.

Any takers?

I'm probably heading for Monroe in April too. Have to set aside some extra money, find a sitter, and take some vacation from work. Wife's even interested in going...

No set date yet.. If you and a few others say ya'll are free next Friday night then I'll make sure I'm free that night and Sat.

A Saturday would be better for me probably.. Get off at 5:00 Friday night and then setup whatever I need.

How about Saturday the 24th.. No football that weekend. No set time just whenever people start showing up until when everyone leaves.
