The folks over at CSCentral have posted some interesting news for competitive Counter-Strike gamers. Ultimate Arena, the site that pairs you up against other skilled players in head to head battles for real cash online, has just added Counter-Strike to the mix. You will need PayPal or a credit card to add money to your account and put it all on the line for profit or bitter defeat.
If that doesn't do it for you CSCentral also mentions another interesting tidbit about a possible partnership between Ultimate Arena and VALVe Software:
Doug Lombardi, Valve's Director of Marketing, said, "We know that a lot of Counter-Strike players will love the option of playing to win money at Ultimate Arena. It's an exciting new dimension to Counter-Strike game play."
but what about cheaters? Ultimate Arena is seemingly prepared and taking cheating very seriously using Cheating-Death on all servers as well as having staff to monitor matches being played for cash.
Head on over to Ultimate Arena if play for pay is your thing.
