I think I'll take this opportunity to once again tell everyone that <i>Slingblade</i> was filmed RIGHT HERE IN MY HOME TOWN of Benton, Arkansas....mmmhmmm.

I also have the sad duty of informing everyone that the Vacuum Cleaner Hospital that had the big mechanical gorilla out front that Billy Bob stares at towards the beginning of the film was recently torn down and replaced by a Fina station. At least the gas station has a Baskin Robins!

Putting in that gas station also gave the city the kick in the butt needed for them to fix that god-awful intersection, though, so despite the sadness, there was definitely some good to come out of it.

And you guys can't have my shoes for another year. :)
