Well he probably couldn't feel the arm anymore anyways, plus if it was between life of death (2 days without water), I'd chop it off too.

Ok I'm going right now to sharpen my pocket knives. Bulldog is right if I had to do that right now with my dull rusty pocket knives I would pass out before getting my arm cut off. Note to self: Self, do not go climbing up any stupid rocks without pretty woman seducing me from top or a large sum of money at summit. Otherwise kiss arm and turn the other cheek. lol.
