Yeah Jason I know what you mean. My house I bought in at 125,000 and even with a 6.75% interest rate will pay at the end somwhere around 300,000 for the house. Damn financing is the buisness to be in, problem is I need money to make money. Doh, stupid system.

Rooster,
Mrs.BoLT and I just purchased a house as well. Believe me, it's well worth the sick feeling (which passes, btw). Congrats!

.http://www.lamerc.com/vbulletin/text2schild.php?text=Whine Whine Whine&typ=7&col=0,0,255&shcol=255,255,255 you should be thankful you don't live in NYC, you can't even buy a decent studio for $125K.
Andy you should consider refinancing, could prob save you thousands in the long run.
If you can try to pay off some of the principal early.

Hey b00n,
how did you not check whether there was dsl or cable out there, first.
:stick
I will tell my wife for my next house...If there is broadband in the area, I don't care, you chose the actual house :D
I know what you mean Andy, it is tough to swallow.
And Korr, the housing in the 5(whatever you call them) of NYC is crazy. My cousin paid well over $1000/mo for a one bedroom apt in Brooklyn, and I think I heard somewhere, that in Manhatten a large loft is around $800K to buy.

Wow $1000 is cheap, $800K for a large loft is on the low side.
My friend just started renting a one bedroom on Wall st for $2500, plus $300 parking, etc..
I was lucky, I found a desparate seller, got a great deal on my house, but still spent over $25K renovating. :D :D

sorry forgot to mention that was 6 yrs ago on the 1000/mo apt.
she moved about 3 yrs ago, about an hour(by train) north-west of NYC.
It was across the Hudson River from West Point.
We visited there a little over 2 yrs ago, it was awesome.
And what is the name for the 5 areas of NYC?

What the hell you mean slowly filling up. I can't even find time to think lately.
Do you realize how much beer it will cost to move all that crap you have? :D

That's alright Yank, I can get the beer you require.
Right now I am looking for the middle of June, probably the second weekend.
All I need is the N.O. help, you don't actually have to come to Alex, I have help up there as well.
