Hey I was wondering is anyone going to quakecon this year??? I will be attending(along with a bout 8 or 9 of the people i hang out with) this year!!woohoo:d: it is going to be soo cool 2,000+ gamers for a 3.5 days of gaming goodness, best thing is that the LAN is totally free!!!!:eek: i am so stoked it will be august 14-17 at the Adam's Mark hotel in Dallas Texas. check it out at www.quakecon.org anyways i will se you guys later...............Danny

I gotta decide if I want to go to Quakecon or The CPL this year. They are within like 2 weeks of each other.

I want to go to CPL because it's mostly CS, which I am playing right now. But I have a feeling that something big (in the way of Doom3) will be going down at QuakeCon this year.

i would love to goto the cpl, but arent all the seats taken? even if they aren't, this one is free lol and its just like a big lanparty there anyway, people play what they want, and a Doom3 exclusive would be a good push for me :)

lol just ask andy and jay, we piled like 6 people into one hotel room for thecpl 2001. it was way cheap that way, i'm all for it. Like i said let me speak to the boss :)

I'm pretty sure I will be able to go, but out network admin is leaving next week and it looks like I am taking his place, so I"m not sure who I will have to get to clear my time off =)

I hope I'll have a new computer by QuakeCon time, so I can actually play Doom3 if they release a demo or something.

Isn't HardOCP having a big workshop at QuakeCon this year? If HardOCP.com does this workshop, you'll want to attend, they give away ass loads of hardware at those.
