Well... That number is inflated a little. I was more concerned with the budget cuts made during the Clinton administration. While we did lose a significant number of troops, a lot of the equipment was retired and replaced. For example, The new Ronald Reagan Aircraft carrier, the ninth Nimitz class carrier. Alas, while at one time we faced the prospect of not being able to fight a war on two fronts, we are at that level once again. Thank goodness military spending increased when the Clintons' left.
