Java for Windows XP???

hey peeps, my mother is vistiting for a month and she likes to play games on pogo.com. everytime i try to start a game on pogo, it tells me that java has been misinstalled or not working properly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no success.
Can anyone help?

thanks onji, the problem was with my norton antivirus. I disabled it and everything ran fine. go figure...some protection

Service Pack 1 was supposed to fix the Java issues as well.

no, she plays solitaire, some kind of casino games and free cell. she is a noob when it comes to pc's, i'm surprised she can turn the computer on. lol
