Everyone interested in attended a local lan in Monroe needs to contact me to get on the list. This will be a free lan for a limited number of players. Everyone who is interested needs to post it here that they desire to attend.

It will be on January 25th @ 7:00 pm till whenever @ Mobile Toyz in Monroe. All will be comfortable in the controlled environment of the work bay which is large I might add.

All you need to bring is your personal computer, surge protector, and cat 5 cable. Chairs will be provided, but you may consider bringing a more comfortable one from home.

We will ONLY be playing CS and Battlefield 1942. This will be a NON alcoholic event. Smoking will only be allowed outside of the building.

Hurry, seats will go fast.

If its not to late I would like to get in on this Lan I am currently working in Monroe. So if there is still a spot i would like to come and can bring hubs or switchs if needed.

Just a thought for everyone. Being that we play CS more than anything we will probably play Battlefield 1942 until we get tired of it. Then we will play CS.

Also for anyone who wants it the machince I have cs one also has the full ftp install for SUSE 8.1 so if have a machince that you want linux on its a whole lot quicker to install this way than all night from a mirror.

Ok my dell 2300 server has cs all setup with quite a few maps and I can install BF1942 on it as well I'll get that done I've never set up a BF1942 server so I might need help with that.

Ok allready got that and tested it out works great I don't know how many people it will handle lag wise but shouldn't be to bad with it being a lan. I'm going to try and up it's memory and possibly add the second proccessor this week and get it maxed out. Right now it's running a P3 500 and 128 meg of memory I have a stick of 256 I'm going to add and I gotta see if I can come up with another 500 P3.
