In Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in October, David Voth, author of a best seller on how to keep from paying income tax in Canada, was fined for his failure to file income tax returns since 1995. [Globe and Mail, 10-12-02]

yeah Dirge I think you are right. If it takes 2 months to get an appointment here, I imagine what it takes there.

Actually its pretty darn fast. Stupid ER here takes 2 hours to get into. My bros arm was on backwards and told him he had to sit and wait... While the d00d with the "deep" paper cut goes first... s|ck

I disagree with you eob, there is a very long wait for some things. I'll give you an example, my father-in-law had to wait 1-1/2 years before he can have his knee surgery (he can barely walk), it took him 8 months just see the doctor about his knee. If you were to have the same surgery down here, you would have seen the doctor and had the surgery within 2-3 weeks.
Socialized medicine is not all that it is cracked up to be. I've lived long enough in both places to know that good insurance in the USA is waaaaaayyyyy better than the taxes you pay up there. You don't use health insurance all the time here, but always pay taxes up there. nuff said.
