whenever i join your server it says

DispatchUserMsg : Illegal User Msg 144

then kicks me out.

i've updated my router but nothing seems to help. any help would be appreciated.

also...this is the only server that gives me problems, what is different about this one than all the others?

maybe the router the server is behind. i had the same problem and ended up switching my router out to a d-link. before i had some off brand router..like lanready or something

i haev a "2wire PC Port 10Mbps USB Adapter" if that helps at all

2 wire won't work...had the same prob...had to switch to linksys...

They are around $100 for a 4 port. I think a 2 port is like $60 or $70.

all that you're describing deano is your ethernet adapter -- the thing that you plug your Ethernet cable into on your comuter, and that thing then plugs into your USB port right?

You dont need a router if all you have is one PC on your internet connection -- what oyu need is a good old Ethernet card on your PC instea of using a USB 10/1000 ethernet adapter.

If you are running multiple PC's off of some sort of router -- the linksys are nice -- I saw them at Radioshack the other day for $59 after rebates.

we have a homeportal connected directly into my mom's work computer through her network card. I don't have a network card so i use the usb PC Port and connect straight from my usb hub through the phonejack into the portal in the other room.

i'll have to go check out those linksys things.
