the dah dah sound is windows loosing the usb connectivity to the mouse. Is it a wireless mouse? If so check the batteries. In either case, try plugging the mouse into a different usb port

Yes I meant wireless mouse.

Thanks Onji. I was eluding to batteries also or bad/dirty contacts on the charging cradle. Also if it is wireless I would recommend moving the rf transmitter to a more clear spot. In front of monitors, on front of a computer under a desk.

Yep, now that you point it out, I bet that is the Daa daa.... Daa dump... sounds he's hearing.

Your Compy just needs a laxative to help it get past the Dump part.

It could also be another usb device messing with you, a conflict perhaps. What all USBwise do you have plugged in?

headphones, high speed belkin usb port hub, mouse, keyboard, and printer, i think that is all. Another mouse didnt work

I know it would suck, but you can try the process of elimination.
Unplug everything except your keyboard and mouse, then if things go well, start plugging the rest in one by one until you find the culprit (if there is one)

Might be the hub
