No need to install anything to get to the apps you need or want.

All apps are installed and ran off of a thumb drive.

I carry around a bootable copy of Ubuntu 10.10 on my thumb drive. Comes in handy sometimes.

Humm, Ok, I see. Well I think I will give this site a little look see :)

I have A 16 GB thumb drive sitting on my desk that's not really doing anything but collecting dust. Lets see what kind of trouble I can get into :)

The one thing I like is that provides the apps you want no other need to install anything on a client's computer. Also data stays with the thumb drive. I use the browser (Firefox Mobile), open office, PDF Reader, PChat (irc client), and music player a ton. It is just nice to have it all there and know it will work. Also comes with a Spybot S&D Mobile, ClamWin Portable, and SpyDll Portable. All seem pretty decent.

Also on my thumbrive is 4 apps from Piriform. CCleaner(file cleaner), Speccy(A comp spec viewer), DeFraggler(a defrag program), and Recuva(file recovery).

Other programs I use a ton but need to be updated a lot are:
Combofix - Rootkit Detector - I download from bleepingcomputer
Hitman Pro 3.5 - Rootkit Detector - surfright - trial or one time use is free. Trial is full function.
Malwarebytes - trying to wrapper it into Portable apps
Angry IP scanner - network ip scanner
SpaceSniffer - Drive storage analizer
TreeSize - Drive file tree storage analizer - Thanks Toby.
