OK, while my piddly lil' Athlon FX-55 processor can run my Windows Home server perfectly adequately, it chokes big time when trying to transcode video as a DLNA server. Anyone got an old socket 939 processor lying around that they're not using and are willing to part with (preferably cheap)? Something at least dual core?

I will check at work tomorrow. I think I may have a few laying around.

At one time the 939 was the Shanizt!

But, sadly that day has come to pass :(

I did not see any loose. I have 5 older custom builds I graveyard-ed that may be there. My son had surgery this a.m. so I was busy when I got to work this afternoon. I will look first thing in the morning tomorrow. If not they are all going garbagio.

Hey - Take care of your kid, man. The CPU can wait. Just lemme know if you have a chance to rummage around at some point.

Never mind, y'all. Found one.

Rook - Thanks for the offer and hope your kid's OK after surgery.
