Alright I have had a project going on for a while and it is almost run to completion. It is my kitchen. Major changes have been made.
1. Moved to doors
2. installed a set of 60" French Doors
3. Remove a chimney
4. re-routed plumbing for Hot water heater
5. Re-routed gas line
6. Remove and emlarge exterior door
7. Tear out Lathe and plaster and other wall stuff down to studs
8. Tear out 3" of old flooring and old sheating
9. re-do it all and insulate all walls.
10. Install 6 can lights
11. add 5 new circuits to the house.
12. blah blah blah

Here are 2 Teaser pics so to speak. I need to find a better before, and I will have a better after when the counter tops arrive.

Which corner is this? Where the office was (the door to the office) or the one to the stairs? Looks good though...and green >> the orange

Um, that's not the same kid in the second picture, right?

If so, you work too slow. :D

Baby in first pic is my niece. THat is my Bro-in-law and his wife.
The corner is where the office door used to be. The dishwasher in the second pic is sitting where the doorway w/ the shower curtain is in the first pic. I will try to get a better pic for before.
Tech ans sLing stop over for a beer and check it out. I have hockey till 8pm tonight then I will be home.

Just a suggestion ... tile the backsplash and seal it. It makes a huge difference and it's easy to maintain. It's an extra cost up front but you'll like it in the long run.

The backsplash will consist of a 6" piece of SIlestone and 1" square tiles.

The one thing lacking in my kitchen Dragonlady is the wife barefoot loading the dishwasher. At the same time, I didn't want my pictures to look like a commercial.;)

Rook, show us the pictures of the backsplash when it's done ... it's sound like an eye catching pattern.
