Tech I had one of my guys crack me up with a comment the other night. We where out with a group and one guy was running his mouth. I finally got tired of hearing it and went over there and told him what I was going to do if he did not shut his mouth. Well he shut up and after we cut them loose one of the officers that was standing right beside me looked over at me and said he wished he had my height. I laughed and asked him why. He said it is more intimidating when they have to look up to you instead of down. I had to laugh. Don't think these new guys know quite how to take me yet. I have been out there long enough that I do not put up with much and they are still learning what they can get away with..lol.

No worries. Now that I have been on my new shift for a couple of weeks the Lt. on the shift is leaving for a while. So I will have the whole shift to myself. Talk about being thrown in the frying pan..lol. Commanding on the street is no problem but all this other admin stuff is taking a little getting use too.
