Doom goes to the movies

The computer game classic Doom looks set to be made into a movie.

Film giant Warner Bros. is in final negotiations to pick up the feature film rights to id Software's game, and it could go in front of the cameras in 15 months, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The game was controversial when it was originally released, because of its violence. But Warner Bros. is said to be aiming for a PG-13 rating.

Launched in 1993, the first-person shooter has been released in two versions. A third is scheduled for release next year and the film will be based on that.

Texas-based id Software said there had been several failed attempts in the past to bring Doom to the big screen, but that the company did not want to miss out again this time.

Well I don't know but thought I would share with all...
