The machine i built along time ago for my friends MAME machine started popping up problems with windows validation. I'm not sure what started it, but this rig has been around for nearly 10 years? I can't see why it would start having problems now. I can't remember if I actually bought a valid version or not...

He probably downloaded the windows validation tool via auto updates and that is what started his issue.
