Shop stereo

Ok, so I've been spending a lot of time in my shop lately doing wood working and small projects. I usually drive my truck next to the shop, roll down the window and crank up the tunes from the truck. However, I'd much rather have some speakers mounted and maybe drop my iPod in a dock and jam that way. I'm pretty good at making boxes and customs items needed for car installs but I'm not exactly sure how to go on this. I'm pretty sure I'll go with just a simple (Belkin) iPod dock but as far as the outside speakers ... well, that's why I'm asking you guys (and ladies, if Baco replies). Another thing that I wondered ... couldn't I take a marine head unit and speakers and use that with a power converter?

I just want to jam in the shop ... you guys give me some suggestions. :nox

Dirge has a nice setup at his place for music outside his home. Maybe you could do something like he did but he'll have to explain.
