Anyone have any experience with this technology? Does it work as advertised?

Instead of buying a 50" cable with an end I can take apart, pull 1 shielded 50' patch cord and be done with it. Laptop to TV

Would need to take the end off to get it to fit through a 1" conduit running down a wall and under the floor.

Hahaha You saw it was lower resolution (1024x768)?

I was thinking of this: http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ if it was for kvm stuff.

that still requires a connection over the network to the computer and screen...I'm talking a laptop (low resolution to begin with) to a TV and this would only be for presentations...not for watching pron or anything.

Seriously i have a School in Kingstree that has a monitor in the main office, and the DVR is in the a closet 2 or 3 hundred feet away. They ran it with RG6 cable, but it looks real grainy, and not clear at all.
