I was half expecting the # 216 to be emblazoned on the seal. (if you don't know 216, a quick google search will turn it up. you don't want to be Left Behind)

I do not think he is feigning approval, but trying to take ownership of the "new gov't" he thinks he will rule upon. All in all though, bad form.

The poster was done after the symbol was created, though....not before. Obama's symbol is a sun rising over a field or something (a new dawn). The other was a artists liberty:

Any differences between the original print and the street posters?
The original screen print has my little Obey logo on his button but the one for the street is not Obey branded. I've got a list of 300 people who want to help with the postering and I'm shipping the posters out to them today. The effort is mostly focused on California but also those places that haven't had a primary or caucas yet. (emphasis added by me)
