man $98 for an HDDVD player is fkin insane. Its one of the best players out there too! I'm telling you, with walmart doing stuff like this, they are going to kill bluray.

Competition is a good thing for consumers.

There have been some questions as to who is driving the drop in price. Is it Walmart and other stores trying to drive customers to their door or is it Toshiba trying to push HD-DVD as the shopping season gets into full swing. It might be a bit of both. I expect that Sony will have to respond quickly or find themselves on the low end of the numbers game. This will fun to watch (no pun intended).

Well, Ive got the HD player thats on the 360 and at the time it was the cheapest at 169 so this is a smoking deal. The only movie I got was King Kong which is one of the best quality movies released. I have a pretty good collection going now so if anybody wants some suggestions, Ill let ya know.
