I was reading an article on Guru3D regarding 8800 GTX SLI performance in BF2, there is a statement regarding setting the screen resolution to something other than the native game resolutions AND changing a console setting to eliminate a FPS cap. Anyone know anything about these two options? The .bat file change seems straight forward enough, never heard of being able to eliminate a FPS cap in this game. I used to in CS in the config file, any ideas how to do this or if it is still true? The article was from January 2007 (see attached).

Don't see the need to cap or uncap a frame rate. Anything faster than your refresh rate is just wasting cycles. I run my LCD at 60hz, so I don't NEED a FPS faster than that, as long as my video card can keep it solidly at 60hz.

IMHO, There is a MAJOR difference in smooth play between 60 FPS and 100 FPS

Thanks Onji, tried it, but it doesn't seem to override the in game settings, set your in game to 800x600 and you get 800x600??? TweakGuides talks about both subjects, I need to try some and test them.
