Yes.. a Trillion Dollar Tax hike... 4% surcharge on the "rich" .... single people who make a 100k and couples over 200k....

I'd like to see a flat rate for everyone. Forget all the write offs and what not just make everyone pay his due and be done with it.

There is talk about "Opting" out of the current system and into a 15% flat rate... I'd go for that..

What I would like to see is one guy come up and say... Lets take x amount of dollars and invest it into an independent firm that will scrutinize government spending and waist... then cut that spending off, and use the revenue to pay off our debt to other countries.. then not take those fund and give it to some government supported "Help the Poor People out" fund... we got enough of that.

What a novel Idea... No one ever wants to REALLY assess the spending our government is doing.

I'd be all OVER a 15% flat rate. During his run a couple of elections ago Steve Forbes was suggesting a 17% flat rate, and it had a buncha people enthused about it. Be nice to file on a postcard, wouldn't it? Or just have it taken out of your check. Whatever you get paid - it's yours!

Interestingly the emerging economies of Eastern Europe have a flat tax.. 15%... and the economies there are BOOMING!!

I'd go for scrapping the Tax code completely and use a 3% National Sales Tax...(Excluding Food, clothing and medicine) Talk about taking the "Rich" the more you buy the more you pay... Too Simple...

Id go for secession from the USA.. I think we need another civil war to iron things out... Just look at the rest of the world and say... Soory guys.. we have some fighting to do among ourselves... so if you need any help over their... Uhhhh call China or somthing..
