Ok, guys. I've got a 216 meg mpg movie I want to put on the web - YouTube says it's too big. So, what are my options to "shrink" it?

maybe try converting it to a wmv. I believe doing that will compress the hell out of it. Or just upload it, and I'll mess with it as well.

If you have Windows XP SP2, then you could use Movie Maker 2 to re-encode it to a smaller format. It doesn't take a lot of different file formats, but if it will work on the mpg that you have, you can then export it to something smaller. Just make sure you look throught the list of outputs. The best thing about it is that it's free.

I found WinAVI Converter and it worked. Thanks for the idea Doc.

I was able to convert a 216 meg MPG down to a 61 meg WMV. I'm uploading it to YouTube now.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys.
