That is AWESOME. For a regular joe to belt that out has my respect as a musician. I have alway enjoyed hearing that piece sung and he did by far the best I have heard. Man!

He does need some serious dental work as Spark has mentioned. LOL!

He will one day be great if he can sustain the rigors of professional opera. Opera is a beautiful art form that he makes sound amazing. I have just begun to listen to opera per a friends request. I would listen to him any day. Breath-taking indeed.

It's one of those things where it doesn't even matter that you can't understand a word they're saying. The beauty and power of the guys voice just pulls you into it.

I got goose bumps twice listening to the british guy and right at the very end of Pavarotti's verision. Pavarotti had some more emotion but I think the british dude had a better voice.

Here is a tidbit of info: http://www.bathopera.co.uk/Past%20Productions/Aida/aida_biographies.htm

Paul Potts playing Radames

A student of Ian Comboy, Paul has appeared on national and local television and radio. He has spent two summers touring Northern Italy training with one of the major opera schools, and has taken part in masterclasses with Vilma Vernocchi, Katia Ricciarelli and Luciano Pavarotti. He has also performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. With Bath Opera he has sung the roles of Don Basilio (Marriage of Figaro), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) and the title role in Verdi's Don Carlos. Future plans include the role of Chevalier des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) for Southgate Opera, London, and another concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the summer. Oh yes! He also plans to get married in May this year!!!

This was 4 yrs ago though. I would like to hear his story.

What is in red prolly ruined his life. Sent him over the deep end. He looks much heavier today than before.
