Of you picture mod guru's. Here's my problem. I want to increase the size of a picture but want the resolution to get better. For instance. The attached chicen fighting jpg. I want a larger clearer rez pic that I can print out and transfer to a plotter cutter without the pic getting to grainy. If I help this guy figure a quick way to do it I think I can sweet talk him into getting us some LA_MERC logo vinyl transfer auto decals free. Only questions is what color to do it in. He said for a color combo pic like our logo we would have to stick on the red decal then follow up behind it with a yellow decal. Help me out and I'll see if I can get some.

the best way to do this would be to vectorize the image with adobe illustrator, if you do that, you can then blow it up as large as you want (even billboard size) without loosing any detail. you will have to trace the image to vectorize it, illustrator has an autotrace option that isnt half bad. the software has a bit of a learning curve, but it can be done.

The guy wants to be able to print/plot it at about 24 inches in diameter without it looking to blocky.

What do you want the resolution at? Default is 72 pixels/inch.

I'm not sure. Send me a 72 ppi image at 24 inches and let me see. Thanks Rook.

That looks pretty damn good for 31x20 inches Rook. Is Macromedia Fireworks easy to use and is it on our FTP. Thanks.

Spark, are you referring to what's in the avatar is too big, or are you referring to the avatar itself?
