Don't know if yall've seen this before but figured I'd post it either way.

A New Christmas Song -- How the "Left" Stole Christmas (JB)

Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.
See the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a "Holi day".
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an XBOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Target's were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, Sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reaso n for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!

I say Bah-Humbug!

I'm very much anti-Christmas. I hate the whole commercialism, you gotta buy people stuff, gluttony that it's become. Screw that, I say. If I feel like buying something for someone, I'm going to do it because I WANT to...not because I "have" to. I don't care what time of the year it is...if someone might like something, and I know it, I'll do my best to get it for them so that they know I care...

Bring forced to show people that you care about them isn't the way it's supposed to be...imho.

you talk like someone who has been hurt by Christmas somehow.....I'll pray for you. While I agree you shouldn't feel like you 'need' to give a gift as I do not give tangible gifts to everyone that I know...it would be insane to do that. It's about the spirit of the season...not how much you give to someone...you have it backwards my friend. Giving does not have to in the form of tangilble goods...a phone call, a card, a friendly handshake, stopping to help change a tire, saying thank you to someone, dropping a couple of coins into the Salvation Army bucket.....etc...etc...

I understand what christmas is all about...I really do. I just don't like the thing that it's become. Actually, if you read my blog, you can see that there are more questions than answers when it comes to me and religion at this point in my life...but that's not the issue at hand.

Christmas isn't about the religious aspect of what it is "supposed" to represent to many people. Its turned more into sales figures, getting the perfect gift, bottom lines and high stress. I, personally, don't like spending time with my family (a bunch of neurotics...but that's also not the issue at hand) that much...so most holidays I'm "bah humbug" about. Its not just Christmas...it's holidays in general.

My main concern is how the commercialism is going to affect children. I mean, come on, you have to worry about offending people when wishing them a Merry Christmas and can't have any displays that say it. People have gone too far. You can only express urself if ur in a minority nowadays. That's the only way people let u say wat u want

it's pathetic really.... I'll never say happy holidays to anyone in replace of Merry Christmas, unless I'm talking about thanksgiving or something like that.

I have no tolerance for people who get offended with Christmas (the spirit of the holiday...not the commercialism)...every day I go to the rink there is at least one Muslim person kneeling on his towel in a corner bobbing up and down...nobody says anything to him.

Well I fell into the Happy Holidays trap over the years, then last year I said screw that and went back to Merry Christmas. Why not? We celebrate Christmas in my family, and in my home. I’m not trying to offend anyone, but I’m done trying to NOT offend everyone.

So MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

If you don’t like it… well go fist yourself. :)

Good Lord. People think too damn much now a days. Scott, life is what you make it. You're letting "commercialism" ruin you and that's what needs to stop. Don't let the fact that Christmas is becoming so commercialized ruin it. Thats the very thing we need to resist. If we don't then they win. Al is right. The "reason for the season" is joy and happiness. Gifts do not need to be tangible. We're simply celebrating the birth of Jesus of Nazerath. The beauty of living in America is you can celebrate becuase you believe in it or you don't have to. If you choose not to Scott, that's fine, but do it because you don't believe Jesus was born or you don't believe in Christianity but for God's sake don't do it becuase it's commercialized. Does this also mean that if Jesus was never born and the Roman tradition of Saturnalia (honoring the God of Staurn - this was the major winter festival of the pasat) was still practiced you wouldn't do that either becuase it would mare than likely be commercialized.

Here’s my view... I think Christmas is about Christ, not Gifts, reindeer, elves, or other Mythical things... Like Santa.. BTW move the "N" to the end of his name and what do you get... Hummmm

I believe, in the grand Scheme of things...and this is speaking from a biblical point of view. Satan has manipulated this "Holiday" around the celebration of the birth of Christ in order to over shadow and eventually snuff out the Christian reasons behind Christmas. I am a firm believer in the Evil's of this world and who is behind them all. He’s not stupid, he’s not a red guy with a pitch fork waiting to stick you in the butt He knows the bible better than anyone on the face of the earth... and he also knows the "Truth" of why we are here.
And I hate Satan, because he first hated me. “I think God wont mind if you hate this one”

But I love Jesus, because he first loved me.

SO Merry Christmas to all!!

and Santa.. I hope your slay crashes into a mountain!

You guys are morbid. I love X-mas. I love Santa. I love Eggnog, I love missle toe, I love reindeer, and I ESPECIALLY LOVE GETTING 6 DAYS HOLIDAYS PAID OFF OF WORK FOR THE EVENT. Hell I love MLK day if I get it off work. Fly this way Santa I'll protect you from teh non-believers. They've been brain washed and love you no longer. Those bastards.

Scrouges everywhere this year. For me, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Someone put the snow flakes on our main page and add all the x-mas stuff. Its that time of year.

Well first and foremost Merry Christmas from and old friend to good friends.

For over 14 years I worked in POS (Point of Sale) fixing cash registers, servers and all the little toy's that go with that industry, from Detroit, MI to New Orleans, LA. I got where I hated everything about Christmas it was just another day and crazy time to have to put up with people. Even after my children came along it didn't matter still hated it. The a couple of years ago I changed jobs, and I sat down that year and watched all the classic Christmas shows, Rudolph, Charley Brown, Grinch(Orig not Jim Carey), It's a Wonderful Life, so on and so forth with my kids and wife. I slowly started getting that sense of Christmas Cheer we should all have at that time. I actually started liking people again and life in general.

So Tech, my friend slow down, sit back with that someone special watch all the classics, drink some eggnog, hot chocolate, eat a Christmas cookie, decorate a tree, work on the Christmas lights replacing every bulb only to still not get that strand to work. Man it's about spending the time with those you love, not about the chaos that goes on around you.

Oh and I can't remembered who posted about the Muslim guy on the towel bobbing up and down, but if you get a chance next time he bobbing up throw something really hard and knock him down and keep him there for awhile. :)

They're back up now, turns out the Rabbi was NOT asking for the trees to be taken down. :)

I didn't say he was asking for them to be taken down. Just that he threatened to sue them. I guess it kinda sounded like that. Originally it said that he had wanted to have a menorah lighting ceremony conducted and was turned down. That's when they said he threatened to sue. The story seems to change everytime I read or look at it. Sorry.

I seen this cool sign in a person's window here. It read, "If you do not want to stand behind our troops, then go over there and stand in front of them."

I think it is cool.
