Do any of you experience problems with your vision as the day progresses at work? I work on a pc all day and by about noon or so my eyes start to get blurred, itchy, watery and eventually it gets to double vision at times. I'm probably going to get it checked out, just wondering if any of you experience the same thing?

Please refrain from staring at any of my avatars; it’s starting to make me uncomfortable.

Here's one now!

up it to 75 or more, it'll take a little to get used to but will help you in the end

What is your Resolution?

When I took a job in Software Support, I looked at a screen all day, wasnt to long and my eyes did exactly what your talking about. I ended up going from 1024x768 to 800x600 I was straing to read the fonts on a 17 in screen...

I had a CRT though... Dont know about a flat sreen.

I have a 20" rectangular screen so my resolution is a wierd one...can't remember the exact numbers but it isn't 1024 x 768.....when I use 'traditional' resolutions, the objects look disfigured...like a circle looks like an elipse, text is wide and short...etc....

Do u get headaches with the double visions and blurryness?

Sounds mainly as if ur straining ur eyes. I do get some of the same thing if I play for too long. Sometimes taking time out to focus on objects far away or at least on the wall or out a window or something will help prevent that. But get it checked out b/c it might be that u need reading glasses or something of that nature.

I have issues with my eyes. The doctor told me for every 20 minutes I'm on the computer I need to take a minute to look at something far away - to allow my eyes to unfocus themselves on near objects. I've also been told I need to take fish oil pills daily to help with my tear glands - red eye a lot.

Goose, that's the problem though....in the cube environment there isn't anything 'far away' to focus on. Everything is within a few feet.

I found this....

sounds like something to look in to.

I have the same 'cube environment' when I work in the office. I started working 30 minutes, walking to the water fountain and walking back. That way I can look at the doors down the hall - that's the best I could do cause I ain't got no damn windows at my cube - BASTAGES!
