PS3 details:


The machine will be released November 11 in Japan, with Europe, Australia and North America releases following November 17. Then there's pricing... the base model with a 20GB HDD will cost a whopping $499, while the version with a 60GB HDD will be $599. Sony also revealed more information about the controller, which no longer looks like a banana, but like the DualShock 2.

The controller for PS3 has been created by refining and improving the world's most popular PlayStation controller that has shipped more than several hundred million units worldwide, while inheriting its basic concept and design. The controller for PS3 employs breakthrough technology of high-precision, highly sensitive six-axis sensing system that does not require any devices other than the controller itself for seamless interactive operation, thus eliminating additional settings to TVs. With this technology, ways to enjoy PS3 will be further enhanced by accessing PS3 through the network, while retaining the six-axis sensing capability. In addition to the "3-posture-axis" of roll, pitch and yaw, "3-dimension acceleration information (X, Y, and Z)" can be detected in high-precision and in real-time. In addition to standard key input available in existing controllers, more natural and more intuitive play will become possible as if the controller has become part of your body.

nice good find saw some clips this morning on the ps3 was going to upgrade my comp but maybe ill start saving for my PS3 so i can get one when it comes out. and the warcraft movie should be sweet hope the do a good production of it, theres so many fans i would hate to let them down like the first final fantasy movie did.

I just watched nintendos press conference and it was AMAZING. It completely blew Sonys out of the water. I havent been this excited about a console in a long time, but I'll definetly be picking up a Wii. New Zelda, Mario, and Metroid on launch? yeah sold

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime promised 27 playable games on the E3 show floor starting tomorrow, as well as more on display in video form. A total of 18 were presented either in video or gameplay form at the conference.

Several first party games were announced or officially unveiled:

- Disaster: Day of Crisis
- Excite Truck
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (available in Wii and GameCube versions)
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
- Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
- Super Mario Galaxy (temporary name)
- WarioWare: Smooth Moves
- Wii Sports

A selection of third party games was also highlighted:

- Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (Activision)
- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision)
- Call of Duty 3 (Activision
- Sonic (working title) (Sega)
- Super Monkey Ball (Sega)

The company also unveiled its optional retro controller, which looks very much like an SNES gamepad with four face buttons, two shoulder buttons, and a d-pad. However, it also has two analog sticks, both of which look like the left GameCube analog stick. They are positioned in a similar fashioned to the analog sticks on Sony's DualShock controller.

yeah i been watching the E3 coverage on G4 like 3 hours pluss a day man iam so excited for this coming year. havent had so many good things coming out sence the ps2 launch and firsthalo release what way back in 2000. this definatly would have been a great year to have gone.Iam so happy to have G4 now with all there behind the scenes interviews with the gaming gods and all the press only stuff they have shown. Still thinking on what my best pics are going to be.

Drools... yum my morgan web. she is so cool used to love her back when she was on that screen savers show and the tech host she had a short litle role and was so happy when they gave her X-play. i so like her over the blonde they had on screen savers, she looked alittle goth then but had this sexy teacher look going. i think she is married though :(
