New medal changes!


In order to make certain medal rewards more accessible to casual players the time played criteria for the following medals has been reduced:

Golden Scimitar Medal - Now requires 100 hours

Peoples Medallion - Now requires 100 hours

MEC Special Forces Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Navy Cross Medal - Now requires 100 hours

EU Special Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

SAS Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Navy Seal Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Spetsnaz Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Rebel Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Other Changes in the update include:

- Addition of a North America Service Ribbon.

- Change in the promotion of Generals Each month. After the update the top 50 Lt. Generals will be promoted to General.

- Additional authentication support for ranked servers to ensure proper labeling of ranked servers in the server browser.

nice glad they lowered the requirements on the theater medals i never really expected to get my 500 hours to get the MEC schimitar medal and chineese medal etc. now with it down to 100 hours i may actually try and get them.

BTW Dirge and Skitz on the G15 forums they now have an LCD app that shows you all the information on your keyboard LCD,
by pressing the buttons under the lcd you can switch to your scoreboard stuff, to the server info, and to your health/ammo stuff.

It looks pretty sweet, I d/l just need to get in game to get my cross :)

Hey Mike. I read that G15 post and it says it's only good for version 1.21. You may not know this since you haven't played BF2 in a couple of months but we're currently at version 1.22. Does it work for for 1.22

yes sir it works like a champ last night, I will try to take some pics
It was sweet, one button had the server name, ip, yadda yadda.
next button had the server settings, ff, autobalance, etc.
third button would show my rank, team flag, kills, points, etc.
