Henk hit it on the head... you might notice some nasty stuff when playing BF2 cuz of a slow reaction/refresh time... ya may wanna look into that...

Yeah I would never fly or play BF2 with that, it is possible, but the blur could be really bad, just save your pennies and get the 24" Dell widescreen and all will be good. :)
That is a TV not a Monitor, big difference.
IMHO

not sure in your case or not but i have a friend that used the tv like that rather than a monitor and he had similar issues while most of the time hes not a gamer so it wasnt that bad,but for games i donr know and will defer to the others above.

What's the native resolution? Most TV's have much smaller native resolutions more aligned with HDTV formats (720p, 1080i). While the montiors have higher rez's. The Dell 2405FPW's native rez is 1900x1200.

yeah that is trash mine is 1680x1050
see the difference, the 24inch dell, I have the 21, is something like 1900 x something

It may not sound like much, but it make a big difference.
It is not that it is bad, it just seems like you could do better, but if that is your price and you want 26" then it does not seem like a bad deal. Just remember that a tv and monitor are not the same, you will be able to see that at the LAN when the LCD are displayed.

Great Info for us peeps who donot know the difference. You see the T.V. / Monitor adds all the time and they are tempting.

yeah if you remember a while back one of our former kiddie members acid was displaying his new 32" monitor, and we asked him what it was, and then he acted like..aCid and cryed because we were mean, but really we were trying to find out what he really had, as a 32"monitor is AWESOME!!, a 32" HDTV is cool, :)
