need help setting up bf2 account!!!

ok i bought the bf2 with account from Latech.i can log in and play with the account just fine ,but i think i want to start a new one with my merc name.
if i go to the option where you can ether delete an existing account or create a new one ,what do i need to do ?
can just create a new one or do i have to delete the old one first ?can i screw something up by deleting the old account?
help me out so i can play :D

I believe you can do either with no problem, but I am not 100% sure, just create a new one, it will show both names at login and you just pick yours.

I don't think you can modify the exsisting account. What you can do is create your own account and like Mike said just pick LA_MERC_Henk instead of Latech when logging on. Or even better just delete LaTechs account.
