Techs thread about USB problems made me think of this...
How hard are the letters U S B to remember? Is there something in the human mind that natrually makes people forget those letters? Or perhaps the order of those letters in sequence?
I can't tell you how many times a day I am asked for UBS cables, UB cables, SBU cables, UBB cables, YouBeJoobey Cables...etc...
Why are the letters U S B so hard to remember?
And don't get me started on all the things people call "Flash Drives"!

My mem stick?
Portable remembering device?
My detachable brain thingy? (i.e. Not Power Cord Andy.)
Cool looking computer key chain?
"Not the floppy" stick?

The most common one i get is "where are those things people stick in their computers".

When I used to work at the computer store, people were looking for "modiums" and "mega-chimps"...so it's an on-going problem.

Yeah - people still call computers "Modems". I love it when people come in and ask how much a modem is by itself (knowing well that they mean a computer without a monitor) and I take them to the pci and usb modems just to watch the confused look on thier faces when I show them the modems - 9 times out of 10 the same thing happens when they ask for Hard Drives.

No - but people still get mad when I tell them none of the computers we have come with Floppy drives anymore...
