Sweet setup! but no MS Office?
Tell your purchasing dept. that the Dell rep can substitute in any Logitech mouse for a small additional fee. (the mx510 is around $18 to add to a system)
I have 2 users here at Canes that I ordered a simular setup for in the Percision 380 line. except they only have 2GB ram. you should be pretty pleased with your new PC.

The IT dept will install all the programs when it gets here...autocad, pro-e, anysis, mathcad, ms office suite, and all the other small programs I need.

I'm hoping to get an aftermarket mouse in the near future....and ergo keyboard.

AUTOCAD............ANYSIS......................... LMFAO. I thought you worked for a real company. Pro-E is far more easier and acurate than Autocad or Anysis. I could bore you with the details but I'm sure those things are out of your control.

we use pro-e for our modelling....but peeps here believe in Anysis for FEA. Pro-e boggs down with the complexity and shear size of our assemblies. Ansys is the FEA program of choice in the oil patch industry.

I understood the word "oil" out of all of that
