Taht is f***ed up. How can that be okay or even legal. If the only way they can get these is "theft", than brokering stolen goods should be illegal.

Man...I guess this falls under the Freedom of information act...but it still makes no sense...

They have HIPPA laws about health care...where are the laws against this sort of thing for phones?

Well what do you expect? Cell phone calls go out over free and open frequencies. Nothing against the law to record, monitor, etc. That's why they sell encryptered sets for government types, etc. Now landline conversations are a different matter. The companies owning the landlines, switching equipment, transmission facilities would have to be selling access for that occur.
