I had to come back and tell you guys what happened to LA_MERC_Texas_Lawdog after reading this post. This morning he goes out to this house for a dog problem. He's a cop by the way. Anyway, he gets there and talks to this woman who tells him that her neighbor has a pitbull that runs loose and she is tired of it. Lawdog goes over to talk to the owners about the dog. As he gets to the yard, the pitbull charges him. Lawdog pulls his Glock and as he points the gun at the dog, the dog bites the gun. So Lawdog pulls the trigger and gives him something to bite on. Doesn't stop the dog. so he starts blasting away on the dog trying to get him off of him. After being hit 3 times with a 40 cal. glock the dog finally leaves Lawdog alone and crawls under the mobile home trailer. Of course her comes the owner screaming about Lawdog hurting her sweet baby dog. His gun actually has the teeth marks in it. See photo below.

Ya know... I don't blame the dog so much... I wish there was a clause in the law that says "if your dog is biting people, eating babies, charging p0lice officers, and the owner runs out of the trailer/house screaming about hurting their poor sweet poochie, that the owner can be shot onsite."

Well heres the rest of the story, the dog owner came to the station to complain to the Chief about Johnny letting the air out of his dog. The guy brought a picture of the dog all hugged up to the guys wife in an attempt to Portray the dog as being a loving member of the family and community. We showed him a picture of the gun that the dog bit. The owner was pissed because the Vet charged him $200.00 to finish putting the dog down, and he wanted us to pay for that for starters. He then claims that Lawdog should have knocked on the trailer door and asked the owner to come get the dog. The Chief told him “Shouldah Couldah Wouldah. Your dog tried to kill the officer, now get out of the station and we’ll be in touch if we decide to cut arrest warrants for you allowing your damn dog to run loose”.
