There's a small possibility of it happening. While we may get a better turn out for BF2 than for CS, we have difficulty trying to get enough people together for a competitive team. Most of us are old guys so our schedules revolve around kids and work, than throw in east coasters and west coasters so it's tuff to have practices that everyone can attend. Show us some research on when matches would be played and how many people you would need for a team and we can see if it's doable. Leagues with matches that are always on certain days and at the same times would probably be the best. Ladders that let you pick any day or time to play gets hairy really quick.

hmmm,

i know of an 8v8 conquest ladder. the match times are chosen though, but u can make alterations to the set match dates and times.

I'd be up for it, but my schedule is more erratic than most. Figuring when im gonna be on shore, in class, gets pretty hairy.

yeah, i think if we could get like 10 guys on the team (2 backups) and we figure out what days and times will be good for everybody we could give it a shot.

it wouldnt be so much for the competition, i enjoy playing with u guys and if we can play together against another group, i think it would be a good time. you know, have a goal and set up squads with objectives and stuff to try and win.

i dont want to get all competitive, i just think it would be fun to try out.

another thought would be: just set up matches with other clans on like a bi/triweekly basis. pick a map and have 2 rounds, one on each side. that way we can set up a time thats best for all and have a good time playing together. best total ticket count will win the match. so its not like the league would set up our time to play, we would.

just some thoughts.

May be easier to setup some scrims and see what happens. In my limited experience scrims were pretty spur of the moment things. Someone would jump in the server and say "you guys want to have a scrim against my clan" sorta thing, 3v3 or 5v5, and we would just pickup whoever happened to be on the net at the time. Since BF needs probably 8 or 10 people to setup a couple of squads it may be harder to do the spur of the moment scrims. But if you have some other clans that you know we could attempt to setup a scrim ahead of time.

Although I'd like to see a few more people post here about playing. I mean if your taking Drax you will take dang near anyone. I think it would be fun to do myself, but I have 3 more weeks of football for my son, which is 4 nights a week and all day Saturdays. Then huntin season kicks in, so I'm pretty doubtful that I could even be an alternate.

Might be pretty cool. Things are starting to calm down a bit now even though I am still staying in BR. I finally got to play yesterday. Was sucking at first but once I got in the Blackhawk things felt like old times. I forgot how comforting it was to light up people with a mini-gun! :)

My internet connection at home has been sucking this past week but I did get to play some this weekend, I didn't see to many others online. Hopefully, things will get back into full swing soon.

Its going to be a month or so before I can get back to playing. I was able to dig my BF2 cd out of the corrosive box that was once my computer. I also was able to clean up my HL and HL2 cds. For future reference, bleach will clean up cds and dvds. However the front of the cd will look like it has been in a childs toy box for a month. I should be back in business in a month or so.

I can play CS with a group, but I am not set up to run BF2 yet. Once I am set up for BF2, I am sure I can "step in front of a few" for a team. :)

Be careful with the front of the cd since that is the part of the cd that the data is written on. If you look a cd closely, its 2 disk glued together. The silver that you see when you look at the bottom is actually right below the top side label.
