yeah the levee breaking is the one by the industrial canal (9th ward). who cares, as long as the other levees hold out.

It's also a part of town that was previously flooded so nobody is there right now. The homes are toast as it is so it can't do any more harm.

Well, two canals had levees breach, Industrial and London. Both had been breahced by Katrina. IMHO No big loss because the flooding is less than what had already been flooded and no one is there. How ruined is a picture flooded twice? The important thing here is no casualties.
