Frogs are normally one of the first indicators that something is wrong in the environment. Wasn't it the mutated frogs near a farm field that set us off that DDT was poisonous

I bet the local kids spiked the pond with alkaseltzer. Gave a sea gull a a "gut grenade" as a kid. Thing swelled up and foamed out everywhere.
