cvars?

how do you change the cvars permanently?
i would like to play without rain on aztec etc. but iam just too lazy to change all that stuff whenever i play ,is there a way to make the cvars stick?
on 1.6 it worked but on source it aint ,or is it considered a cheat now?

You have to go into your cfg folder and create a new file called autoexec.cfg and put all your cvars that you want to change in it

aeh how do i create files?

right click "in" the folder >> New >> Text Document ..

It will then highlight so you can rename it and rename it autoexec.cfg and edit it with notepad

You can but it should be set in the config.cfg file. Putting in the autoexec.cfg file will just make sure it stays what you set it.
