Sure seems like you could feel that with your tongue even if you didn't feel it. I have been shot by a few nailguns and I felt every one of those. Granted none of them were in my skull.

Im sorry but how do you NOT know you shot yourself in the head with a nail gun? Thats right up there with giving birth at 9 months and not knowing you were pregnant.

"The doctors said, 'If you're going to have a nail in the brain, that's the way you want it to be,"' she said. "He's the luckiest guy, ever."

if putting a 4" nail through your mouth and into your brain, along with not having medical insurance and being billed about $100k to remove the nail...is considered lucky....then excuse me while I go find a mirror to break.

Wow to think I paid someone to put a hunk of metal in my tongue about eight years ago.

It does get cold in Breckenridge and he was working outside so I'm guessing he had a brain freeze along with frost bite. But then again, what can ya say for a guy that lives in Colorado? ooooops!

Did you read in the article that it's the second time someone has come in with a nail gun accident and didn't know that they had been shot by a nail. I mean, how could you not know.

Maybe he didn't feel it or understand that it was there b/c the part of his brain it hit was part for higher functioning thought processes....which he obviously doesn't use.

Actually you can't feel any pain in your brain. That's why for some surgeries they used to sleep the patient for cutting throught the skull and then wake them up for the actual operation on the brain. They couldn't feel it. Just a useless bit of info I'd give.
