With the advent of long term storage on a memory chip, and once they figure out how to make it more stable and long lasting, I think the HDD may (eventually) be on the way out...regardless of the size.

those things are called microdrives and they are awesome.they go into regular cf2 slots and are way faster than cf cards ,not to mention the higher capacity and much better price.i have one with 4 gb(for 160$) and its my favorite toy for my pda and my camara.microdrives in cf2 format are the future ,no doubt!!eventually in ten yaers HDD will be outdated but i wouldn t bet on it.
