Ok CS guru's how do you make and watch "Demos"?

I know I could probably google it and find out. I doubt it's that difficult but reading many of the treads posted here somebody should have a quick answer anyway. So how do you Demo someone, then later watch the recording?

In the console type the following command followed by Enter:

record demoname

(example)
record eobhaxes

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

To view the demo, in console type the following command followed by Enter:

playdemo demoname

(example)
playdemo eobhaxes


When you record a demo, it will be in your cstrike directory with a .DEM extension.

You can also use the command, viewdemo which works better than playdemo

viewdemo demoname

funny you should give that name as an example Mal, I was cleaning up my folder just the other day and had a demo with that exact title.

Tried to make a demo but it doesn't seem to work. I get a message saying "Can't remove Segment1" but seems like it's recording. But when I type stop it says I'm not recording a demo. Is there rules or stipulations to doing demos? Would having net_graph running cause this problem? What do you guys think?

uninstall, reformat, baseball bat tends to fix such things.. hehe btw try login out login back in to steam, if still the issue, reinstall steam if you get no other help.
