ive noticed adaware or spybot doesnt usually get all the spyware/adware stuff so id try webroot spysweeper or it could possible be a very annoying virus you can try trendmicro. also do you have enable install on demand(other) in the options advanced tab unchecked? if you have that unchecked it prevents adware and spyware from being d/l to your pc without your knowledge

DL hijack this .... run it... post a log and let the pros tell you what to delete... also make sure you have AdawareSE personal installed.. it R latest version... update the definitions and run it... spybot also has an updated version out.. I also use stinger which just released an update.. Stinger is for virusses trojans and variants..
*edit*
not that I'm saying it makes a difference, but I do these in a specific order.
norton stinger
adawareSE
spybot S&D1.3
if that dont get it
highjack this
BE WARNED HIGHJACK THIS WILL LIST A LOT OF STUFF THAT DOESN'T HURT AND SOME STUFF THAT MAY BE REQUIRED!!! GET HELP BEFORE YOU DELETE CRAP!!

Get the VX2 Cleaner from Lavasoft's website. It is an add-on to Ad-Aware.

http://www.lavasoft.de/software/addons/vx2cleaner.shtml

Follow the instructions on the web page to use it to see if what you have can be cleaned with this.

I use a combination of "hijackthis" and "search and destroy". The fool proof method I've used for removing adware and spyware. I just boot up the PC in safe mode (keeps the services and dlls from getting loaded into memory) then run search and destroy to remove all the spyware it finds. Then I run HiJackThis to remove all the reg entries of suspicious software. Often I will use internet explorer to traverse the path logged in HiJackThis to actually delete the .dll so that the malignant stuff doesn't remain on my PC at all. It's worked pretty flawless so far, and I constantly monitor my PC for malware processes and services.

none of that worked at all

this was one tough little cookie

i ended up realizing that i could catch it if i just did one little thing ctrl + alt +del

with my processes running and knowing what general time it is going to strike... i waited it out around 5 minutes before and watched. when it popped up.. i had it. found what file was using up cpu energy when it happened. then from there the rest is history.

whoever done this virus did a good job
