Um...which AMD's are you talking about? The Barton core chips are VERY easy to overclock.

Do you mean the Sempron chips, or the Athlon64 chips?

I have some spare keys, but they are pretty pricey. If you send me $150 I'll give you a key to the lock.

LOL! Yeah, some do, some dont. All P4's have a multiplier lock if you didn't know.

I know how to unlock the old Thunderbirds - never tried to unlock a XP chip, but I had a Barton 2800 that was apparently factory unlocked (as I heard some Bartons were) and I had it running at 3200+ just fine - Yellowpuppy has that chip now, but I set it back to 2800+ because I didn't want to sell him an overclocked righ just incase he came into stability issues, but I never had any issues at all - it worked perfectly and only ran 1 degree F hotter.

He should've put more into it. I had an old watercooled (even though with air cooling, it should be fine) Barton 2500 running at a little over 2.5ghz (200x12.5) at 1.65v, compared to the 3200 at 2.2ghz (200x11).

PS - It was stable up to the day I got a P4 :)

You should be able to OC that without much problem.

Q's about your system. I have the same chip as you, but, air cooled...I can only get to 2266. What were you able to run stable at with air cooled (or did you try)? Which motherboard?

It was a A7N8X Deluxe. I did not try it with air, it was a watercooled comp I put together + sold. 1GB Corsair XMS, forgot the timings, I think it was 2-3-3-5.

Same RAM I have too, except I'm running on a SolTek board. Looks like I'm going to have to go water...
