And if you want to get really clean, get:

Spybot S&D
AVG
Hi-Jack This (if you want to manually remove viruses)
Spyware Blaster (to keep your browser clean)
Any kind of Symantec/Norton prog

I use Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware SE, they remove the spyware, but everytime I boot up the same spyware goes back into my system32 folder. Arrrgh anybody know how to permanently remove it?

Get the VX2 Cleaner from Lavasoft's website.

http://www.lavasoft.de/software/addons/vx2cleaner.shtml

Follow the instructions on the web page to use it to see if what you have can be cleaned with this.

you may have to manually remove it - you probably have a line in your run key in the registry...go to start->run type msconfig - goto startup tab - take out anything but your av software and reboot - see if it comes back then.

also, if aaw or sb is giving you the name of the spyware, google that name, and you will probably find some instructions on how to manually remove it.

You might try WebRoot SpySweeper as well. MadMax showed this to me the other week and it picks up stuff that others will not.

http://www.webroot.com/downloads/

Get the Trial Version.

Just turning it off in MSConfig will disable it, but not remove it. Use Hi-Jack This and manually remove it. If you have problems, just copy you Hi-Jack This log here.

Stay away from Bazooka...it's a pain, because you have to delete things manually.

Hi-Jack does not remove viruses. It does, however, look at the registry keys dealing with Internet Explorer and its homepage/seach page stuff so in a way, it cleans IE.

Its sounds like something that I have ran across before but ad-aware should remove it, if not, I know of another program that might help

Why go out and buy another antivirus program for one file? Just go to Symantec's site or Trendmicro and run their free antivirus tools
